14 month old male Rottweiller available for adoption

Jax is a young male Rottweiller thought to be around 14 months. He did not have a great start in life and has experienced quite severe trauma. This has made him touch-sensitive (until he knows and trusts you) then he likes contact and cuddles.

He can be suspicious of new people and prefers the company of men but has got to know all our female volunteers without any issues. He also has some fear around the loss of food and toys so can guard them, mostly when indoors or in confined spaces.

He loves to play with his ball and go for walks with volunteers here. Jax likes other friendly dogs but can sometimes get over-excited or overwhelmed when on lead. He needs to be an only dog in a calm adult-only home as he would not want to share his owners.

Jax needs an experienced Rott or large breed home with owners willing to visit him regularly in SOMERSET to build trust and only those willing to continue his positive training programme re: socialisation, toys and food should apply.

He is a bright boy who learns quickly with calm, confident and kind training and rehabilitation. He is castrated, vaccinated and microchipped.
